As one of Minnesota’s oldest institutions—it actually predates the state itself—the Minnesota Historical Society is a well-known source for Minnesota history. What’s less widely known is just how much of America’s history it has to offer.
With the nation’s 250th birthday approaching, we set out to change that. America’s History Lives Here connected MNHS’s historic sites to the larger American story through a campaign spanning print, digital, and outdoor media.

The campaign tagline appeared on everything from outdoor signage to email signatures while playful navigational paths hinted at the dozens of historical destinations MNHS offers across the state.
Site-specific ads highlighted the American history available at each location.
